Truth To Wonder Church

Truth To Wonder Church, is a weekly Sunday morning gathering at Iford Scout Centre, Iford Lane, Bournemouth, BH6 5NE, starting at 11am. You can find us by searching ‘Iford Scout Hut’ on Google Maps - we are the first green building on entry to the playing fields car park. A map is also provided at the bottom of the this page.

Our friendly, welcoming, family based group come together each week standing on the authority of Holy Scripture for all areas of life, holding that, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV.

Our meetings focus on a Bible study of a selected passage from Scripture. In our meetings we often study the historical context of the passage in question, analysing the richness of the text through special multimedia presentations so that those in attendance gain a greater understanding of the Word of God. To further this we also consider the wealth of cultural, historical and scientific evidences that support and verify the Bible‘s claim to be an eye witness account of history from Our eternal God.

A typical meeting comprises of: 

- Welcome and Notices

- Brief study of famous preacher/Bible translator/missionary/Church father or scientific/historical proofs of the accuracy of the Bible

- Opening hymn

- Main message

- Closing hymn and prayer

Our aim is two-fold: to learn more of the wonder of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ so that we might become worthy vessels of His Word, being joyful witnesses of the Gospel. Secondly, to help equip the believer in Christ with a well-rounded knowledge of all the evidence of the existence of the Lord God and the truth of all the Holy Bible.

Following our service all in attendance are welcome to stay for light refreshments (often including home baked cakes and sweet treats) and enjoy a time of relaxed fellowship with other believers in Christ Jesus. As a family based church, we love to hold special gatherings where we all come together after the service to share in vibrant fellowship alongside a light lunch.

All are welcome to join our friendly gatherings where we use the A.V/KJV Bible in our services, delighting in it‘s pre-eminence as the revealed and received Word of God given to mankind through the grace and providence of God. We love to explore the richness of the text and how the brilliance of the A.V/KJV Bible in particular, brings us to ever greater communion and knowledge of our loving God.
